make sure its the grey high density foam with red release liner, NOT white foam with green and white release liner.
the white stuff wouldnt hold a bumper sticker on. the other stuff... i used the grey high density foam tape to back up the bolts on a sparco pedal install on my old car. when i went to replace the pedals with some Heicos, i ended up bending both the brake pedal and the aluminum pedals, trying to remove them. the bond is that strong. heat up the surfaces and tape for a better hold, right now in NYC its too cold for a good bond. heatgun or hairdryer on low works well.

damnnnnn I got the wrong 3M tape today, I got the green liner one instead of the red one... None of the store was open because of the holiday I'll have to reinstall it, it's pain in the ass to take the screws out.

Hey, what i have been using is VELCRO! Yes, i know it sounds weird and all, but there is a type of velcro with an industrial strength adhesive on both the felt and hook&loop parts, it peels off with some force and wont mess up your paint. This allows you to remove the lip when needed, Afew screws on the bottom wouldnt hurt either but yeah, for the upper parts where the bends and such are use the sticky velcro
BTW: it varies on the type of lip you're installation. if you have alot of flat surfaces where the lip and bumper meet i'd definitely use the velcro get it at walmart in the fabric section. |

got both types above at autozone but apparently it's too cold to use them at the moment. By accident (no, I usually don't RTFM) I noticed the packaging stating that the tape should be applied at >65F temp for proper bonding, we're getting nowhere near that anytime soon. My garage is in the 40s at most, 20s outside.
sigh... |
