Hint and tips with my tuneup
I got a 335i coupe AT , its a 27/9-2006.
I was bone stock when I got it and now I got some mods installed and some on the way. This is what I got so far: JB3 , I guess since they shipped it to me from burger motorsport just 2 weeks ago aprox. that it got the v 1.1 on it , I also ordered the cable mapswitch option. I also have installed the Forge Motorsport DV. Awaiting shipping is: aFe Stage 2 intake with the scopes. RR DP , RR mid pipes , Remus quad mufflers RR oilcatch tank Quaife LSD Later mods that are on wishlist : Aktive Autowerks intercooler kit Bilstein B16 Electronic Adjustable Coilovers So there you go .... I plan to install most of this myself except the Quaife LSD But all help in form of guidance and hint and tips are welcome Regarding all this tuning on my engine I see it beneficial to install extra cooling on oil , but I am not sure if I remember correctly but is there also a benefit from mounting a gearoil cooler for this car? Also , what reprogramming or modifying options are there for this gearbox if any? Id love to be able to lock gears like on E60 M5 gearbox while in sportmode. Is that possible? That is what I got for you guys so far Love this forum , been owning my 335i now for a couple of months , found out most about this car on my own , but this forum is great source of confirmation , if you read the threads and try to weed out the BS One can easily get a bit paranoid from some of the threads , am I safe or not |

An M3 is probably double the price of a 335i over there in Norway.

That is correct , M3 , M5 and M6 are pricy cars in Norway
The car is 500 000 Nok , but the taxes are 1 000 000 Nok So for me to spend 35 000 Nok plus 25% VAT and shipping is not such a bad idea... But thust me , I would much rather have the new M3 with the AA compressor setup.... The total was 5000$ shipping included , then 25% VAT when it comes to Norway , but still cheaper than buying it at any stores here in Europe. Wish I had better shipping arangement thou... Shipping by boat should not be that expensive , slow yes , but heck , its winter here , I can just sneeze and I will be doing donuts on the road... Anyone here got any tips on shipping please let me know |

The price for a 335i 2006 and up is from 95 000$ - 120 000$
M3 is from 180 000$ - 205 000$ In Norway that is.... oldtimer cars , over 30 years are no taxes on no matter how much HP they came with then. And Im pretty sure a oldtimer will pollute and consume more than a modern car , so go figure...... Shipping a car from the US to europe is somewere around 1500-2000$ so I would think shipping a pallet with stuff would be much cheaper. Any input on shipping? |
