2011 n55 335xi please help
Hello all this is my first time asking on any forum for any help with this, I have a 2011 BMW 335xi (disclaimer: I am an 18yo owner, this is my first bmw and i have very limited knowledge/capability of understanding the electrical side of vehicles) I had bought this car not long ago knowing it had a crack in the radiator, I drove it with the issue knowing about it when I had the connection to one of the radiator hoses break, I fixed this issue and tested it and saw steam coming from the engine so I chose to finally fix the issue by installing to a mishimoto radiator, doing this DIY With limited knowledge myself and a friend with almost no knowledge helping me I installed the radiator and at one point the intercooler was left coupled to the intake inlet hose and the weight of the intercooler pulled it down and stretched it without my notice for a solid couple minutes
hoped it was okay but when I drove it the transmission was acting strange, at the time I didnt have any sort of code reader so I had to get it read at autozone, when it was read I got this code Learned shortly after that I had also broken the vent hose And replaced it with a aftermarket part from oreillys I tried to drive it and didn't get very far before it gave me a transmission malfunction and had symptoms of what seemed like an air leak and replaced the inlet hose (picture 1) because I didn't know what else it would be and still had the same issues i then had an idiotic realization when I found this (cable?/hose?/connector? Most of you will probably think im stupid not knowing what this is) After searching to try and find the name of this or what it does with no luck i compared my car to others of the same model I came to the conclusion that the (hoses?) should be connected and i decided to connect them: I'll post what it looked like before and after my "solution" (again many of you might call me stupid I have no clue if that's what I was supposed to more or less do) worked for a bit but It again gave me an engine malfunction I did a network scan (innova wireless with repair solutionsapp can't quite afford the more expensive readers atm) I have this arriving today because I was assuming the transmission issues to be caused by the VTG- transfer case and after more research with the other codes I started to think it's a battery issue and did more scans (scan #116 was taken with engine running to read live data the rest with only ignition on) Do I just need to replace the battery?? Any help, knowledge or guidance appreciated |
