e90 Stereo Upgrade Suggestions pls
WOW, I've searched the forums and seen some great installs!
Has anyone installed 6.5" components in the doors/kickpanels of an e90? If so, please provide some details about the installation because I have not found a way ... short of significant custom modifications! If not, can someone give some advice on 4" setups. I'm looking for low efficiency seperates that can be bi-amped. The Focal 100KPs are the best ones that I've found that meet the mounting depth requirements. Diamond also seems to have a set but I have not made the 81 mile trip to listen to them at my closest dealer. I have a TruTech s44 that I use(d) to bi-amp a set of Boston SPZ series 6.5" components with good success. I will also be using my JL CleanSweep as the interface. I would like to re-use this setup if I can (at least the amp). THANKS! db Last edited by DannyBoy71; 12-31-2008 at 10:04 AM.. Reason: typo |

How to sync an iphone to the Idrive.
I recently purchased a 2006 325I that comes with a navigation system. I've read the manual plenty of times and still can't figure out how to sync my iphone to the Idrive. I tried going to the setting on my phone and searching for devices and still no luck. Does anyone have any idea how to do it?

Thanks Technic. I demo'd a set of Focals last week and they sounded great for 4". I guess I'll make some time to check out the other brands as well.
The only 6.5 install that I've seen so far used replacement door panels, replacing the side pocket with custom made (fiberglass) enclosures. I do not have the skills to do something that elaborate (and make it look good) and I can't find any local shop willing to take it on. I was hoping that somebody made a doorpanel enclosure (premade) and all I had to do was worry about mounting it. anyway, thanks for any info/advice! |
