how long should i wait b4 i report a private sale dispute?
paid for item on the 19th. sent 2 pm's and posted on original thread asking for some kind of status report. still haven't gotten a response and i'm starting to freak out bc he took my paypal payment and hasn't said a damn thing to me yet. not even a simple "i got the cash and i'll ship by X date". right now its just shy of 2 weeks so maybe i'm jumping the gun but i'm getting anxious. sooo how long should i wait guys? i figure if i don't get a response by monday i should report him but i'm not sure exactly how to go about doing that. suggestions would be appreciated

What did you buy? What was the posted lead-time from payment to ship? IF they missed that, report it immediately. I take it this is ebay, was it for a car? Check ebay rules, start there, they have a problem report.

This sounds like a scam...What did you buy and if you do get beat, we all feel sorry for you, but make sure you post the scammers name on the website or PM the administrator and hope you can get an IP address and prevent him from logging on again with another SN

If it's been almost 2 weeks, I would just report it. Heck, even if I don't hear back from the person I paid for over 3 days, I would get worried. Definitely report it to paypal and have them open up a dispute. Also, please provide us with more info, so that we can assist you better. GL!

The scammer already took the cash and now i'm screw. So then. . .I had to call my bank. They got my money back but then Paypal said i had a negative balance and they sent me to a collections agency. No i've gotten phone calls and stuff saying i owe Paypal. So F#%k! PayPal. They're completely useless. No protection at all. |

guy is a forum member. he has 3 positive itrader feedbacks. 2 as a buyer and 1 as a seller. has more posts than me too. i'm gonna give him till monday before i report him to the mods. i also asked the other person who was gonna buy the item and he said the seller was selling them to me. but he also said that the seller didn't return any of his calls about anything when he called the seller before. he also frequents the site bc i checked his status and he has been online like every day (yehhh i went kinda stalkerish)

Yes, file a dispute to be on the safe side, you can always cancel it, but once the 45 days pass, you cant claim anything.
Paypal are a bunch of scammers themselves.

I don't know what sets each individual case apart, meaning i don't know why you got refunded and i couldn't but yeah. They found me the innocent and scammed member yet they did nothing at all. |
