Update 1: Just got my Procede Rev.II!!
I just got my Procede Rev.II delivered today! I also have a DCI on order too. Once that gets here in about a week, I'm going to have a shop here in Houston install it. The documentation states that I have Stg. 1 DD maps installed. I'm wondering if I should wait for the Non DD maps to be posted before I get it installed since I don't want to go in and muck around after I am done installing it. I plan on getting my car on a dyno before I install everything to get a baseline performance measurement (Jan. 10). I'll post the before and after.
Edit: 1.10.2009 Ok, here are my dyno results for my stock AT car. 65 F ambient temp. The dyno figures are different as you can tell. The Dyno was a quick run from 4000RPM. The reason it was done this way is because the car kept downshifting to stay in the powerband. In order to go around that, we did run from 4k RPM. How can you properly dyno this car if it has AT and keeps wanting to downshift?? Please post your ideas/best practices. If we can get a better method, FWD Performance will re-dyno the car for free. I think the dyno was performed on a Dynocomp machine which has similar results as a Mustang dyno (on the low side).

Ya, never done anything like it before. I rather not live with the guilt if I mess up!

Yours
I talked to Sunil last month and he said that he could take care of everything for me. I really liked the shop and the fact that you all have worked on modding 335i's. The shop seems to have a good rep among the BMW community in Houston.

I was totally thinking about running the serial to usb through my glovebox...thanks for the reminder. I'll make sure I bring one to the shop.

+1 Anyone who has a procede should do this without even thinking about it. It is just as easy to install as the PNP procede.

I just bought the serial-usb cable. Does anyone know if valet mode comes preloaded or do you have to enable it yourself?

Not sure, but since you have the serial-usb adapter just open up the procede software and find out if it is enabled. If not, just enable it.

$945 for the Procede Rev.II Race and $99 for the BMS DCI.
I'll be at MW Jan. 12 after I do the dyno. I'll get the car on the dyno again after I get everything installed. Can't wait to take a look at that C230 with the S55 AMG engine...that's crazy.

Updated post with stock dyno numbers. I think I need recommendations on how to improve the dyno results since I was only able to make pulls from 4K RPM. Since the car is AT, it kept downshifting to have max power in the powerband.

Use steptronic and don't click the "button" at the end of the gas pedal travel. It will hold the gear until shifting at redline

If you shift manually while in DS mode, you are in "manual" mode (M). If I am in M5, and I floor it, the car will downshift to M3 or M4 by itself...
