cost for fitting ipod connection?

As per the title, does anyone have any experience of retro fitting the ipod connection to a 3 series with business nav?
The dealer I got the car from has quoted me a price of about £350 including fitting and switching it on in the idrive.

Does anywhere fit these things other than main dealers?

that's why I did this mod:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...highlight=ipod

you won't be able to control it via the iDrive but at least the controls on the iPod are within arm length reachable.

When I was looking into this I was quoted £400 by one dealer, £280 or so from another.

I think the cheaper one was Specialist Cars Stevenage

GizzE is the expert, but I'm pretty sure you need the Bluetooth module to be able to get the USB connection... which your car has.

I would go down the Denison route personally.

You might want to give Mark a call at Cartronics here http://www.cartronics.co.uk/ in Surrey.

He actually de-installed my BMW OEM IPOD from my old 5 series, then re-installed a Mobridge in the 5 series and then reinstalled the same in my 335I a few weeks later. He knows his stuff and has the kit to do the coding etc. I beleive the OEM or Mobridge installation on the 3 series is more complex as it has to go in the dash rather than in the glove box as in the 5 series so the install was way more expensive. I have business Nav on the 335I

For some reason the ProNav needs an extra component/box, so this costs more than an install ontop of BizNav
