E91 320d engine cutting out
Hi all, i've got an issue with my engine cutting out. Pull up to the lights and it dies, it will restart but turns over for a while before it does. Seems to only start doing it on a run, on the motorway the other day I had cruise control on and although it kept at the selected speed i could fell it trying to die, left the motorway slowed down to stop, cut out. Scanned it - p1427 and p3000 returned - mechanic friend thinks the swirl flaps might have been removed hence the first code the second seems to relate to a fuel rail sensor. Cleared the codes and went for a short drive today no codes returned as yet . . .
the car is an E91 2006 320d Msport any thoughts? Last edited by Dee James; 12-29-2022 at 11:45 AM.. Reason: typo |

Update: issue returned, idle "hunting" go to pull away engine dies.
scanned, P1427 and P3000 again. Not sure when it was changed last so i've ordered a fuel filter as a first step. Is it worth replacing the sensor at this point? Any other guidance gratefully received |
