Anyone ever make a ski or snowboard hole like the winter package? I have owned e36's in the past and just simply kick out the steel panel seperating the trunk and rear seats. was wondering if it works the same way, and if anyone has recomendations or guides for this. Thanks! Dying to go boarding, bought my car off the lot

Bump
Bump for more info -- thinking of doing the same thing.
Less wind noise and fuel consumption, not to mention less setup before leaving for the mountains. |

Looks like noone has done this so far...
Having done some research, I ordered P/N 52206970763 ("Ski Bag Cover" - part #2 in the picture below). It is not really a cover, but rather a frame around the opening. The lid part is missing and I do not know what it might be - the ski bag cassette itself? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...94&hg=52&fg=30 ![]() It looks like a different seat back frame (P/N 52207165082 - part #1 in the picture below) needs to be installed, too, and it is pretty expensive ($272.31 at Tischer). Not sure if the original frame can be modified (e.g. the opening can be cut/knocked out). http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...52&hg=52&fg=30 ![]() |

Hey, thanks! It looks possible... I mean a vert would be harder im sure? Is that what kind of car you have.. e93? I have the e90 (4 dr.) I defiantly do not want the roof racks! For all those reason + Makes it slower!
Vadim- which model are you speakin of?

Ya I've got an E93, it has heated seats but no pass thru
![]() Call up Tischer and ask them for a ski bag retrofit for your E90, i'm sure they would have the answer your looking for.

As for E93 - everything is completely different. BMW does offer a ski bag retrofit option for the vert - unlike E90/E92. Last edited by vadim; 02-26-2009 at 05:55 PM.. |

Perhaps this is this missing part (#5) you were talking about?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...94&hg=52&fg=30 05 Oddments tray SCHWARZ 1 52209129493 ![]() Tischer lists it as 'Oddments Tray' - retail $143.35, Price $119.48 |

If the OP has a sedan, as he mentions, won't he have to install the folding rear seats to make this work? This feels very difficult to me. Coupes and Verts different story.
Dude, just buy a rack. People sell them all the time on the private owners for sale section.. I never use the pass through in my audi wagon. You want that nasty stuff away from the leather. |

I would really like to put a ski-pass through on my E90 sedan. I purposely bought this car without the fold-down, since my E46 sedan that had them had gotten more flex in the chassis by the time I sold it than I liked. This would at least allow me to transport long thin items.
Anyone take the fixed rear seat backrest out to see if there's a panel there? Or a way to cut through it?? |

Bump. I am thinking about installing ski bag cover for my E91 (52206970763). Heated seats come standard with E91XI so ordering winter package ($750) just for ski bag didn't sound right.
I am interested in hearing any information. Does Bentley manual contain information on how to remove folding seats? |

Has anyone figured out if you have to cut the back panel or not? When looking at the back, I can 4 screws around the pass through area, but they are the kind that look like rivets. ![]()
