I like a lot of the comments he hit's on. It's common sense, we are getting there but we are not quite there yet.

I have a friend who bought a first gen iPhone for, what was it, $600? when they first came out. He was quite proud of himself for having nabbed one. 6 months later Apple cut the price to, what was it, $400? Which I made the mistake of pointing out to him. He didn't talk to me for weeks.

gotta merge this thread, this is ridiculous. This video has already been posted in one of the other 18 EV threads.

For others that live under a rock or from the US, he is responsible for some of the best motoring journalism over the last 20+ years such as creating Evo magazine etc & introduced many of the best journos to the game such as Harris, Sutcliffe, Meardon, Catchpole etc. Thus always worth a listen imo. I’m not going to summarize anything, if your not interested then just don’t watch it, simple. Guaranteed any of the self proclaimed ‘experts’ on this site will know far better anyway…humility is a quality many Americans have yet to grasp unfortunately.🙄

I sense anyone who understands Harry Metcalfe (and his motoring/journalism heritage) is wasting their time explaining to the US part of the forum. |

Well, that’s a bunch of Barbra Streisand. I watch him all the time. I rather enjoy his YouTube page. Our forum friend was just pointing out the man’s slight bit of hypocrisy when it comes to climate change. I don’t see why you guys should get all bent out of shape about it. It’s actually quite typical. Here is an example. How would you feel being lectured about the dangers of sugar, and why companies shouldn’t be allowed to create products with sugar, by an obese man swigging a soda down? I think most everyone would roll their eyes at him. If you really think petrol (UK term) cars are destroying the earth through climate change, you shouldn’t own any. Either that or you at least shouldn’t talk about it. That’s my opinion. Oh, I think many other people hold it as well. All that has nothing to do with the fact that Harry is pretty awesome and has great content. My advice to him would be to not discuss climate change on a high-performance car enthusiast channel.

Tavares from Stellantis says the company is withdrawing from lobbying (political) efforts in Europe.
Toyoda from Toyota says EVs will take longer to become mainstream than the media would like us to know. Separately but related, Powell said the Fed will not get involved in climate change. Climate change and EVs are political. Not market-driven. |

Sir, SIR, you have to burn 18 minutes watching this guy's points. They REALLY resonated with the OP.
Jesus christ I hate the modern age. I don't mind Harry, but write an article. I read 10x faster than I listen to someone's spiel.
