F series seats on E90
Hello.
Has anyone installed some F series seats in an e90? f30 seats or something like that? If yes, is it possible to get the electrical controls, memory and heating working as OEM? Here in Europe it is very difficult to find e90 seats with these functions, at good prices. |

Apparently you can also swap in the F30 rear seats as well so your leather design/stitching matches. Even the fold-down rear seats install perfectly in an e90 with them installed previously or can be retrofitted very easily
my only question is, why? I personally like the design of the e90 seats more, and the F30 rear seats come with black felt rear lining vs the e9x grey heather blend so your trunk will always look off. Unless of course you reupholster but at that point, why? Something you could live with I guess since you don't sit in the trunk, but notable enough to mention Personally, I would only see myself upgrading to e90 m3 seats. What are the benefits to the F30 seats? Are they ventilated? If so can that be retrofitted to an e9x? I don't think coding would exist for such an option, and then you also have the issue of wiring in some sort of controls. LCI HVAC + Pre LCI lower control stack could work if they can be programmed separately, but I don't think they can
