Temporary Jack

So, I have non-RFT tires on the car and had an unfortunate incident on the road that left the tire totally flat. Sealant didn't work (ended up having a big crack/hole in the barrel of the rim itself!), so I was stuck trying to get the car to the local tire shop - car was totally undriveable.

Anyhou, long story short, I didn't want to lug my heavy a$$ pneumatic floor jack to the site where the car was located. Looked through my other car's trunk (MB E320) and found a scissor-type jack that had a plastic adapter that fit squarely into the plastic jack point of the BMW. Perfect fit! Actually, I liked this better since my regular floor jack (plus aluminum jack adapter) is too tall to fit under the car - I'd have to end up driving on some wood before the jack would fit.

If you have an emergency spare tire, this jack would be an awesome addition to the trunk. I'm going to use this thing in the garage for raising the car since my tall floor jack is just a hassle...

The smaller jack that you are talking about is great for emergency situations where you need to get something done without reach of a better jack. But for changing out wheels in a garage or anything like that, I really don't prefer it over my 2 1/2 floor jack.

Sure is a great addition for on the road so you don't have to lug around a 50lbs floor jack

Just curious. Why didn't you call roadside or do they not have that in Canada?
