It's the same method in the iDrive7. Here's a tip: When you have a setup you like, hold down the M1 or M2 button and it will set it to that button's memory.

Is there a way to make the M1/2 button also bring up the sport/track dash…I can’t figure that out.

Will someone explain what the up down button on the shifter knob for my m3 does specifically? What do the 3 adjustable levels represent?

Seems different from engine and transmission as those options don't change on the setup screen when I adjust from 1 to 3?

No longer possible in iDrive 8. I looked everywhere.

That and the stupid radio/preset list disappearing to what’s playing instead of keeping the list up makes me mad.

Really wish they would allow this with a software update.

The radio thing however is a setting you can turn off. In the radio menu, hit right on the iDrive Controller until you see the options. Turn off "Full Screen".

Thank you…of course it would be under radio settings and not display settings. I can hear them lecturing me now about how I’m using the radio, not the display.

Transmission setting. How aggressive you want the shifting.

That's what I figured but was confused because as I said in my initial post it was not changing in real time on the set up menu when I adjusted it. Either way, thanks

They should have mentioned the transmissions settings on the auto stick and the M-Mode button

Is it not poasible to have odometer mileage and trip be permanently displayed on the bottom below the gauges? That seems so absurd.

I think it only does when turning off the vehicle. Otherwise you need to scroll through the tach menu.
