I have heard that currently no cars can be delivered from the SLP plant in BMW Welt. Are there any ideas when this will be possible? Maybe there is someone else from Germany who has also ordered an M2.

I don't see why that wouldn't be possible. I ordered my M2 from BMW Berlin and while I'm having mine delivered here in Berlin, I know it's a pretty regular thing for people to get it delivered at BMW Welt in Munich. Going by experience it's just another option to tick when ordering your car here.

If you speak German, this is a statement I found in another forum regarding Welt deliveries for Mexico and China manufactured vehicles: "Wir können manche Autos per sogenanntem Ziehformular in die BMW Welt holen. Dies müssten wir aber mit Ihrem BMW Handelsbetrieb besprechen."

*I chose to leave it in German, since I wanted to be sure you got the name of the form and department to talk to.

Thank you for the hint. However, the info came directly from my dealer that certain models from Mexico etc. are not delivered to BMW Welt.

Glad to help! Ok nice, then explaining it should be much easier. I asked my dealer and he said he should be able to reroute it, but it certainly is a complicated process. My order is through the VIP/Diplomat Department, so I'm not sure if that bears any weight on the feasibility of the delivery option.

While I enjoyed the European Delivery process on my (Florida bound) F80, and the BMW Welt experience, I wouldn't pay to do it again. If they offered a delivery combined with a track experience, similar to what Porsche does, then I'd be all over it though. For now, I'll just take it to a few ADAC Drift courses to get a real feel for the M2 when I get it.

Thanks for that Info. Do you have any link to the statement? I am currently in talks with my Dealer in Germany and also BMW M and the Welt to get the Delivery of our 2 M2s in the Welt …

European Delivery ended for US customers in 2020 unfortunately. Not enough demand.

I was talking to my SA (Euler in Kaiserslautern) about taking delivery of my new M2 at the BMW Welt and he stated that it's not possible anymore. He told me that it has something to do with German Customs. I'm buying my car through military sales though, so not sure if it affects the European cars or not.
