Does anyone recommend car detailing products?

Didn't spend much time on the E90 and F82 for car detailing.
Changed from G82.
Going to XPEL film.
But for daily routine maintenance, is there a recommended product here(DIY)?At present, these two products from CG are valued, mainly used for glass cleaning and interior ceramic film. How about above and is there any other better choice?

I'm very picky about the products I use and only use what my detailer uses.
I use Chase Tubbs at Insane Paint Auto Detailing https://www.insanepaintdetailing.com/ and he almost exclusively uses Jeremy Stevens and his company Shine Supply out of Ventura, CA https://shinesupply.com/

The world of car detailing can be a rabbit hole that is tough to climb out of. Asking people what products they use can be a bit overwhelming because you're likely to get a hundred different answers. I cannot emphasize this enough, but proper washing technique is far more important than what product that you use. This is not to say that some products are not better than others, but I think results (shine levels and lack of swirl marks) is 90% technique and 10% product.

Use clean microfiber wash mitts and do your car one section at a time, taking the extra time to clean out your wash mitt in between sections. Wash your wheels first. Use the two bucket method with a grit guard if you can to make sure you're rinsing out that mitt. Do not use a ton of hand pressure when washing or drying your car and use straight lines rather than a swirling motion. If you really want to step it up, get a pressure washer, foam cannon, an orbital buffer and a leaf blower or other blow drying device as all of those can really enhance your results. There's a lot of info on Youtube these days that can show you the tips you need to be successful.

Chemical Guys stuff is awesome, it's what I've used on all my cars for the past several years. Although they're kind of gimmicky in their advertising and all their Instagram stuff, they are great. Just picked up their pressure washer the other day and it's absolutely amazing as well.

Most detailing forums will steer you clear of chemical guys.

Some really good brands off the top of my head: CarPro, Gyeon, The Rag Company, Griots, Rupes, certain Meguiars, Koch Chemie, Sonax, Dr. Beasleys, G-techniq..

2nd Wolfgang for a host of products! Especially the Detail Spritz, it's the best. But also some other products, and it goes much to personal taste. Chemical Guys us largely overrated as noted. Can get same effect for less. Especially when buying bulk or larger containers, rather than store sale bottling.

Good Luck

+1 to this!

That being said, I've used Chemical Guys in the past and plan to do so going forward. Since I've gotten FULL PPF I might have to change the type of products they offer but having the right technique as what VBB indicates is very important.

My main products are CarPro since I like their brand but IMO one thing I learned..... everyone is going to have their own favorite brands and they are hundreds and hundreds of brands.

And to be honest, it almost always comes down to preference... at the end of the day any decent brand will do fine. Like you can buy big brand products from your local store (Griots, Mothers, Meguiars, etc) and have as good results I would say.

I use CARPRO Perl on my tires. It is really long-lasting and gives the tires a beautiful satin like appearance which I prefer to the high gloss appearance of some of other popular tire products sold in the market. I recommend applying 2 coats for the best visual effect and durability.

It's actually incredible how easily people on forums are swayed by CG. I can't say this enough. Don't use CG. There are many other brands that others have listed here that outperform CG products.

Have you tried their new Darkside? Lasts much longer from the reviews I’ve seen.

Not yet, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I will order it when I run out of my current supply of their Perl and give it a shot.

Holy shit Darkside looks amazing. I'll still use Perl for other areas but might use Darkside exclusively for my tires now. Had use Optimum's tire coating but didn't quite like it.
