M2 live photos from Arizona

Hey all,

I posted the thread the other day about the new M2 driving in Scottsdale, AZ. I finally had time to head to the andaz hotel this afternoon and there were the new M2s, XM and M2 with performance parts. I have attached some of the photos of the M2s. If anyone has any specific photo requests, they are doing a launch event here and I live down the street so I can always come back and take certain photos and angles if people want. See attached!

What was the gap between tire and fender on performance parts car? I'd really like to get a sense of the drop after seeing it next to the normal versions.

It is at the Andaz hotel, off Scottsdale and Lincoln area.

I’m due to fly out at 6am, any clue how long they’ll be around? I’ll switch my flight and become our unofficial photographer. No ups, no extras.

i wasn't going to complain about having to turn my head 90 degrees, i was just thankful for the shots....but it was easier down the thread for sure.

Talked to a hotel worker, the last of the BMW group is checking out at the 22nd. I'm assuming the cars are going to be there til then. Really worth checking out and seeing all three colors together.

Was there yesterday and today around noon. Color wise I liked the VB and BG. BG with carbon roof and black looks awesome; and I hate black wheels! I thought the red would be my favorite but was not! Car looks much better in person and really liked the overall design. E30 M3 feel with the fenders, front end is good but not great but better than the photos. E46 size which is great compared to the current M4. Can’t wait to drive it.

Guessing you meant ZB.

Sadly, it is not the size of an E46 Coupe. The G42/G87 is equivalent in size to an E92.

Ah. My guess is that what just happened was a dealer intro event, and the fact that they're there till the 22nd makes me think that what happens now is the journalists come in for their initial drives. I wonder where they will head from Scottsdale? No doubt into a remote area.. perhaps up through Wickenburg via the Carefree Highway (yes THAT Carefree Highway, from the Gordon Lightfoot song) then up US 93 towards Kingman. Perfect route to stretch the cars' legs.

I do miss the sound. It could be quick at the top end of rpm but I don't miss that 295ft pound of torque.
