Wheels Noob Question

Are there any good resources out there anyone can point me to where I can do some basic reading up on wheels? Like - a discussion of replicas vs the real thing, and forged vs whatever non-forged is? Kind of like a wikipedia-type read?

I'd like to edumacate myself a little bit before buying -- and if I can spare you all from my dumb questions, well then, we all end up as winners.
