Go and see Imran at Evolve. He is not too far away. Luton Junction 10/11 of the M1
He will customise it and make it like you want it

I agree I had my 320D re-mapped recently and its better than excellent.

The power delivery is so smooth and progressive. Worth every penny and a very professional and friendly company.

There is no right answer to who is better. I have used superchips before and I was happy, but that was on another car. I was very impressed with evolves service. They talked to me, asked me what I want, where I want power, How I want it delivered and stuck a map on that suites me

Email Imran, he does occasionally travel, and who knows he might be round your way in the near future

Thumbs up

I have superchip re-map and its fine... totally changes car with improved mpg and strong smooth power delivery....plus they will come to your work or home and upload in approx 20mins... oh yeah and 12months warrenty for engine.... but most of the guys on here will recommend evlove or DMS... with a rolling road session... the choice is yours...

I never had a rolling road session at DMS.

You will see anywhere from 335-350bhp mate with any of the companies.

Mate, I have a Superchips re-map on my 330d, which was done by Ant at Speedreligion, who provides great service.

The map honestly is fantastic, and the car is pretty special now.

The only downside that I noticed immediately was the INCREASE in fuel consumption, which I`m a bit disappointed in, as everyone else seems to experience gains in their mpg........not a reduction !??

My mpg has probably dropped by about 4mpg, quite a lot really, so that`s not great.

Other than that though, the power delivery is fantastic, and just as I would have wanted.

I must admit though, I remain VERY curious about what Imran and the lads at Evolve can do, as somebody else on here (Mob, I think ?), has had a re-map done by them, and the figures are phenomenal.

I might get the map re-done, by Evolve, maybe in about 12 months, for the price it costs....................we`ll see.

I agree with the extra power you do tend to use it? this will give less mpg perhaps low 30's... but ive found on a run to get over 40-45 mpg? (i dont think it did this before the re-map)

I know what you mean Tony, but I probably don`t boot it anymore than I did before the map, now that the novelty`s worn off; it`s just that when I do, it does what it did before............only quicker !

MPG has definitely gone down mate, short trips, long trips, the daily drudge to work, tried it all, and the whole lot has decreased.

I try not to let it bother me to be honest, as I look at all the other performance cars I`ve had, and they`ve ALL returned around 22mpg, or lower, and some MUCH lower when I`ve been booting it everywhere. The 330d then, especially with the major torque-induced grins it gives, is a real bonus, as I can still get over 30mpg, even when battering it, which is something that NONE of the others I`ve had can get near (apart from my E90 330d, of course )

Yep Evolve did my 330d, and I added a K&N filter afterwards - most recent RR result at Evolve was 301bhp and 500lbs - though I may get it RR'd elsewhere purely for curiosity - I expected 290bhp tops

Never mind the RR figures though, the car is a f*cking missile and hasn't missed a beat - very very very happy with it.

Plenty of people go with Superchips and are happy.

Also, consider E-Maps - they travel to your house as well.

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing...34009&nmt=335d vs 330d - Question for dxb335d

Not sure if Shamrock is genuinely asking for your opinion (hope so), or trying to goad you into a dodgy thread...

General question for everyone who has chipped their motor as thinking I might give it a go myself - do you notify your insurers of the mod, and if so what charge did they make?

Thanks
