Tire Dressing

Let us know what kind of tire dressing that you are using, what results you are getting from it, and whether or not you would recommend it.

I’ve used Armorall tire foam for years and find it to work well. I’m sure the Meguiar’s stuff is better though.

One thing I found with using any tire shine is to wipe off any excess so it does not end up all over side of the car as you drive on the highway. Most detail shops soak the tires with this stuff and it looks good until you get it home and find that all that excess is now all over the bottom of your car both behind and in front of the wheels.

what tire wet products did the dealers use? it seems like theirs last longer than the product i used.

The detailing term for this is called "sling" and many of the cheaper silicon based products do this....

I've been using Zaino Z16 for a couple of years now and really love it. No sling, good shine and no sling. Best thing is it's also water based. The new formulation of it (available a couple of months ago), I understand from picus, gives even more shine then the older version I have. BTW, I've been using the same bottle of Z16 for the last year and I still have about 1/2 left. I even use it on the all weather rubber mats.

Gotta agree with Z16. I use it and Hi Temp Grape Dressing, but that's not available in a lot of states.

Well at the dealer ship i work at buys from a local detailing store. The product is called Quick Shine Tires and it works really well. However i don't know who it is manufactured by sorry.

hey picus, where does one go abouts in toronto to purchase these zaino products...dont usually see them in crappy tire

Only place to get them is called "The Barbers Chair", they have stores in a few of the malls (Sherway, etc...), type "The Barbers Chair Toronto" into google for locations.
