I was shocked to see anti-Grav units today !
Wow, was I shocked I thought they'd invented anti-grav units,
2 guy's just effortlessly walked our new fridge freezer, a BIG OLD beast, effortlessly no trolley, just this big strap they had around the fridge and them selves, wow, looked cool ! Also any ideas on how long to leave it before switching it on. The delivery guy first said and hour then 2, I'm sure last fridge we had guy's said under pain of death to leave it for at least 24 hours Google say's it's due to the compressor oil settling a common figure I'm seeing is 8 hours , any thoughts ? |

Found this on the interwebz:
“Let it stand In transit, your appliance gets shaken around, so it's best to let everything settle before you plug it in. If it was transported upright, give it at least an hour before you plug it in. If it was transported on its side, turn it the right way up and leave it for at least four hours.” You know if it’s on the web it’s true. |

Those forearm forklifts are amazing.
I'd leave it sit for 24 hours to be safe, since you have no idea how it was stored in the warehouse or on the delivery truck.....

Truly. I now keep a set in my truck, and it is SO much easier to move anything. I guess my point of failure was always the grip, which made me think I was going to drop and exert way more force than necessary.
These days those straps go under a big old wooden box, and it's moving with no effort. Want to move a king mattress and not drag it on the floor? Slide those straps under and it floats itself into the room. Wouldn't dare even try to move a washing machine, but slip on your forearm straps and it's gone in 60 seconds.
