Need advise on the head rebuild
To make a long story short the head in the machine shop fixing seized valve cover bolts. Bolt broke off during a valve cover replacement job. I own this car since 15K and now she has 168K. No oil burning issues. Just lately noticed 0.75 qt per 4K miles. Now I have a dilemma. Is that a good idea to replace valve stem seals or just leave them untouched? Just last year I have done oil pan gasket, every coolant hose along with water pump and both DISA has to replaced. Both been broken. Any advice would be helpful.

If the head is off and they have it in hand than I would say yes have them replaced. Wouldn't take but an hour to do them all and if they start leaking in a few thousand miles than you'll regret not doing it when it was with the machine shop.
