e90 transmission fluid
real oem lists the transmission fluid as part 83222167718, but the part number for the fluid on fcp is https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...1l-83222163514. Wondering why are the part numbers different?

Not sure what that number is. From the 6L45 DIY, the fluid should be:
OE fluids below. You can use the GM one, Dexron VI is a GM standard, not a BMW one. https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...-l-83222163514 https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-10-93...01EKMGG92?th=1 |

The number on the pan is the same fluid but 4 liters. $49.85 / 4 = $12.21/L
https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...-l-83220397114 The liter bottle is $14.05. Those if you have to have the BMW label on the bottle or jug. Otherwise many members pay about $26/gallon for the Maxlife stuff, including myself. ![]() |
