What is this?

Ok the first two pics. My friend was in the backseat of my car (07 E92) and pointed out these wires and plug that was sticking out. Anybody have an idea what this is or if it should be plugged into something?

The second 2 pictures are of some type of plastic clip or flap in the trunk. What is this as well?

Thanks for you're help guys...the "search" was no help.

no idea what the first is. but the second is for the ski bag. you have the Cold Weather Package and it includes the bag and the center armrest in the back folds down allows access for the ski bag to go through

oh fuck nvm! wth is wrong with me today!!! IGNORE MY POST!!!

Plastic flap is to hold the compartment door on the floor of your trunk, you lift it then clip it to the hook that can hold it...

I dont know what the wire is for

I believe that is the wire is for the battery disconnect. Quoted from SoCalTech.

When we PDI the car, we remove the switch from the cabin and the switch from the trunk, but we leave the harness from the rear seat to the battery in tact. So you're just seeing the part of the harness that isn't being used anymore.

So does this mean if I were to get in an accident my battery disconnect won't work?

I had the same thing. I was told by my CA it was just some type of diagnostic wire that isn't a big deal. I just tucked it back up under the seat.

No. You're thinking of the wrong thing. If you get in an accident, there's a pyrotechnic charge that explodes, disconnecting your battery. This switch is something different. I'll try to get a picture of one if I remember the next time I do a PDI.

But was it designed to stay that visible? I'm willing to bet not.

The technician is supposed to tuck it under the seat when he disconnects the switch.

The black plastic clip hanging in the Trunk seems to have the purpose of holding the trunk floor open. I don't see the need for it maybe someone else can chime in on it.
