Need Suggestion

I have an e92. Currently I have Michelin pS'2 on it. The fronts are just about one month old (had an incident where i had to replace both), but my rears need replacement.

The lease is up in 9 months, and I don't want to fork out premium money again for ps2's. I know this will upset the balance and handling of the car if I go with different tires, but in reality I never really push the car to its handling limits, the most I do is straight line runs here and there. So with that in mind, what kind of tires would you guys recommend for the rears. I want to save money, but I dont want to get the cheapest tires either, a compromise between price and semi decent tire.

I have the run flats at home, and I will put those back on when I return the lease.

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

If the lease is up in 9 months, i would probably throw on some Kumho SPT's all around. They are pretty affordable and offer a good amount of grip. Nothing like PS2's but then again, you say you don't drive too aggressively, so they'll do fine.

I just checked my lease agreement to be exact. I have until next year, april.

So its a little bit longer than I thought.

Charles, thanks for the suggestion. I had kumhos on my mustang before and did not like them at all. Any other suggestion.

I would like to come in under $500 for both rear's. Money is getting tight these days =(

Ps im running this size - 265/35ZR18

I checked the sumitomo's not bad, anything else in the $200 a tire range that would be recommended.I think $200 a tire would be a great price, anything better than the sumi's, since its $50 more a tire for budget

Also Im not really concerned about road noise, i always have my Ipod on. I noticed on the sumitomo reviews they are a bit loud, but that is not an issue.

Just a thought but maybe buy some used tires from this forum? Don't need new ones if your car is going in in 9 months.

Ok between a general uhp and the sumitomo htrzIII, what would be the better tire, if I was going for traction?

It looks like the general will last a bit longer since it has a higher wear rating, so im guessing the sumi will have a tiny bit better traction? Yes, no?

Ok since this will be my last set of tires, I think Im going to get a little risky.
Im running as you guys know a 265.

I want to go 275. Would I still use a 275/35/18, sound right?

I never take passengers in the rear, and its on the stock sport suspension.
Also decided on tires, after a few hours of research, im going to go ahead and try something off the beaten path - Vredestein Ultra Sessanta's
Vredesteins also look thinner, almost like they taper off.

The General would have a softer ride and longer wear, while the HTRZ3 would be a nice step up in dry grip and steering response (more than just a tiny bit).

I decided against going 275 out rear.

Now just to make the final decision between Vredestein or Sumitomo

Ok the vredesteins on. They look really nice, they seem to be a tad bit skinnier than the michelin's i had on there. They dont have as much traction/grip as the Michelins, but thats to be expected from a tire that is $150 cheaper. I will keep you guys posted. Sidewalls seem to be a less stiffer than the michelin's as well.
