battery Coding- Ancel BM700
Hi guys, anyone has some knowledge on how the Ancel BM700 works ?
i registered the battery the new battery, which now shows up in the scan tool. However i have not been able to code the replacement of a new battery, which has a higher AH. My earlier was a DIN88, replacement is DIN100, which has a 115AH. i found tutorial at youtube, which shows that the BM700 has the method to code a battery replacement. Please watch from 9.03 This guys BM700 has the options ranging from number 1 to 3. Mine only has 1, so i updated the BM700, it did appear to have changed the menu system a little but i still cant find the options for number 2 and 3. The below is my my scantool screenshot added below - 2nd picture. Whilst attempting to register the battery, this does appear in on the screen - about Terminal Change - anyone knows what this about? Have i missed some setting on the car itself ? Please see the first picture below I tried two different updates, the one at the most top and the very last, still there seems to be no workaround. Anybody has any experience ? |

You can't code with that tool. You will need NCS expert or ISTA P. to change the battery ah rating.

Or you could try Bimmergeeks protool. I believe you can code with that but I've never used it. You also have to pay for it whereas the others are free (if you have a windows laptop)

Reviving this thread, as I faced the same issue with the Ancel BM700 on my 2006 325i e90. Turns out the tool needs a software update, which you can download here: https://anceltech.com/product/detail...20348438556672
After I updated, I was able to code for 95Ah and register the battery with the scanner.

What I remember for coding was putting the amp and type of battery as the serial number, but I’m not certain.
