Hi, I had a brake pads check displayed on my console earlier and the dealership suggested me to do the disc as well.
I wanted to try akebono euro on my fronts and I wanted to know if I could still run on my current disc to save some $$. Your help and suggestions are much appreciated and thank you in advance. |

That surface of the disc looks OK, but you need a profile view showing how much thickness is remaining on the disc. Also, does the surface (pictured) feel "flat" and smooth? or is there a deep groove in one place on it?

Thank you, the discs are still on the vehicle so hard to take the picture, but no they do not seem to have any groove in between though. I’m attaching some more pictures for consideration?

That lip on the edge doesn't look too bad to me, if money is tight, you probably be fine just slapping new pads on. I generally get 2 sets of pads per 1 disc before I change the disc and I've never noticed a big difference if any.
It will take a couple of days for the pads to bed in to the profile of the disc and in the time you might feel the brakes getting better.

The disk needs to be measured to insure it has the minimum thickness for your vehicle.

The tool you need is in the link below. Minimum thickness is listed on the rotor hat or can be found with a google search. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |
