Trunk doesn't open with CA

Another day another problem...

My car is equipped with comfort access (CA). When I bought the car, the door handles do not work. I didn't have time to troubleshoot it but the trunk and engine start/stop still work with key fob in pocket.

Now the CA for the trunk no longer is working. When I long press the key fob, I can hear the mechanism and it opens.

My key fob has a new batt.

It doesn't matter if I have the engine off or on, the CA for trunk no longer works.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Assuming the key you got was not a replacement and actually coded into the
car for Comfort Access .
Antenna Diversity module or wiring to it is a common problem .
If CA fobs are replaced the old one's need to be programmed out of the car
and the New one's programmed in .

Look for diversity antenna threads.

The fobs are original and came with the car. CA was working with the same key then it stopped. The engine start/stop still works with key in pocket.

There is a sensor behind the bumper cover for CA signal.
You should have a fault code, there may be a fault code for that sensor.

No codes. What are the chances that both front door handles don't work and now the trunk doesn't open with CA?

Is the comfort access module green in ISTA when it shows the module tree? What did you scan it with?
