Sachs vs Bilstien vs SRT

Looking for good shocks to replace my failing factory. 2006 e90 with sports package.

Obviously I can spend more than the car is worth but I'm just looking for a good daily driver set of shocks.

Obviously this is an ever going discussion and there will always be an enthusiasts but I'm looking for the best mix of daily driver affordable and fun to drive all of the curves on my daily drive to work..?

Garage List
Bilstein B4. Should be very reasonably priced on RockAuto. The set I purchased in 2018 were made in Germany

Make sure you get the right part for sport/lowered suspension, as the B4 comes in 2 variants

Check out Birds B3! Super $$ but reviews seem to indicate it’s worth the price.

vester86 Is the price difference between a B4 (stock replacement) and the B12 kit worth it in your opinion? I'm considering Bilstein or BC racing coil overs and I'd want to lower my car 0.5-1".
My struts are failing and it's throwing off my alignment. I'm at 121k miles. Thanks man.

B12 = B8 shocks + lowering springs
B4 = shocks only

so you're not comparing apples to apples.

so you'll either have to compare B4 with B8, or account for B4 + springs vs B12 kit.

B12 will be +/- 0.5 inch lower then your sports package OEM setup
