N54 head replacement cost + other jobs

After a previous owner decided not to bother replacing the knackered injector retaining clip bolt and instead let injector 2 shake around for 10s of thousands of miles, I'm in need of a new head.

I was wondering the cost of labour for a head replacement. Getting a used head and getting it skimmed isn't expensive so that's not an issue mostly worried about the labour cost as its out of my skill level. If anyone in the UK has had head / head gasket replaced please lmk how much it cost.

At the moment the car has two decouplers on that injector and its holding at stage 0 power, don't want to push it hard.

Also what other jobs are worth doing at the same time?
Already thinking:
Valve cover gasket
OFHG
Oil pan gasket?
turbos?

If youre thinking about paying a shop to do it then tbh it'd be cheaper to get a replacement engine instead and buy the engine hoist and drop it in yourself.. would be twice as cheap. If money isn't an issue I'd say labor alone probably around 3k+. And thats on the very low end.

The problem is finding a garage that is trustworthy. I used an N54 "specialist" in Nuneaton, they charged £800 for labour only which is reasonable, but didn't set the timing correctly after, so I had to open up the valve cover and re-time it myself. Luckily it was only out a few degrees so no damage done.

There's a good specialist in Derby called German Automotive. They might be worth contacting as they are close to you. Not sure if they take on engine work though.

Aside from that, the only 2 other garages in the UK that I'd let near my car are Darren Wood in Manc, and Birds in Iver. Evolve seem like a capable outfit too but never used them myself.

There is a company that sells some kind of helicoil repair kit for the injector bores. But from what I remember they are a bit shady and might have actually stopped operating. It's a shame because I think the kit might have actually been decent, certainly a good stop-gap.

I know which company in nuneaton you're referring too, I used them for downpipes and waterpump but not sure id want to take a timing job to them. I was probably going to use Joseph Ha as I trust his work.
And yeah that repair kit is a straight up scam ive head these days they don't even send it.
