E91 brake shaking on high speed
Hello,
When i am at high speeds 100-120 km/h and apply the brakes the steering wheel shakes, i haven't been to the repair shop yet but i think it's the calipers or more precisely the or A carrier of the/a caliper on the front. I am not that familiar with parts so i try to find such part on ebay: E91 Front brake caliper carrier and only rear brake caliper carrier appears. My question is is there carriers on the front brake calipers? If so what is the OEM part if someone knows it? This video makes me think that exactly the carrier is the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B02wsjFQLY8 E91 2007 325xi N52b25 |

kristian9107 Brake calipers rarely go bad. You probably have warped rotors. You may also have bad control arms. The pivot points wear out, get loose, and cause steering and vibration issues at the front wheels. Tie-rods are another issue over 120K miles. They won't appear damaged but when you compared old vs new the difference is night and day. I would check for play on those parts. New parts are much more stiffer with ZERO play at pivots. Upgrade to M3 arms if you want better cornering! For your $$$ it's 110% worth it.
