4N Motorsport N52 Turbo Kit

4N Motorsport released a N52 Turbo Kit, hot side parts only, around early spring this year. Just wondering if anyone has bought and installed one yet?

If anyone did, curious on a few things:
  • How did you complete the cold side?
  • Did you use a BOV and how did you set it up?
  • What power and torque are you at? Which transmission do you have? Mind sharing dyno results?
  • How was the installation experience? Any nuances?

Lol expensive and not too many benefits vs the supercharger. Maybe more efficient but definitely adds turbo lag.

Well the benefits vs. the supercharger is the SC can't be easily swapped out for a model that flows more. You are 100% limited by the SC on the n52 platform.

This fits up to a G35-1050 which can flow almost 3x more than your eaton SC.

Now, why you would want a high whp N52 build when there are proven ways to get there for much less money with an n54 or s65 is beyond me. There is no reason for anyone to buy this kit at this price. Because the costs just start there. Gotta upgrade your fueling system(unless you want to make SC N54 numbers), an IC, etc.

In that picture the turbo is not clocked correctly for the front waste gate. You also don't need a water cooled turbo like the garret. Someone could make this kit for MUCH less. A simple log style exhaust manifold would make MUCH more sense given the whp N52 can handle. Logs flow just fine.

I would see the benefit like 5-6 years ago, while the E9x still expensive.

Like a rare optioned 328 or a E91-US, could make a nice upgrade without changing the engine.

But the price need to be low, since a N52 can have very respectable numbers with a upgraded intake manifold, full exhaust and a tune.

I'm at around 70% of putting back a N54 in my wagon, and it is expensive and time consuming. I went the easy way, which was buying a complete 335, and I wanted a low mileage one ''while I'm there'' you know. So 2 cars + mods while Im there + maintenance = I'm around 20k$ cad. And my E91 I paid 3500$ cad...
Expecting to sell around 2-3k$ of parts in the process.

Can be cheaper if you simply swap a high mileage 335, but it's a reported cost with a N54 for sure !

At this point I would just LS swap almost any E9X:

https://www.cxracing.com/engine-swap...91-e92-e93-ls1

https://lse90.com/product/e9x-e82-ls-swap-kit/

Lot more options, a fuck ton more reliable. Better engine management for less money. It is a well known platform with a ton of parts. Sky is the limit.

Or build an n54 for 18k and hope it holds 1000whp with a fuck ton of lag because...displacement.

Fits in there nice:

Even if you left it NA it would be a better powerplant that the N52. Like if you blow a tranny or n52 engine an LS swap NA would make sense I think. LSs can make north of 500whp NA.

They also make cool intake manifolds for them:

Bringing this back up to see if anyone has purchased and install this kit. Would love to hear their experience with this and what kind of power they're making.

4N Motorsport Do you have any update on your N52 car/project?
