Its to bad its in Mexico was really awesome going to the corvette factory and touring it in person. Would love to do the same at the BMW plant where my car was made.

I would think it would be fairly easy to incorporate that plant tour into a Mexico vacation. The area looks beautiful. You would probably want to spend at least a week to make the travel costs worth it.

But you're right , it's not like you can just hop right over for the weekend.

I was extremely close to buying a C8, so I was fairly familiar with all the opportunities to check things out at the Bowling Green Factory and the Corvette Museum.

Yeah I regret not getting museum delivery with my c7. Hoping to do the driving experience in South Carolina next year.

Cool video. All that work on getting a great paint finish to then have a dealer "prepare" it with a broom and bucket of gritty water

I'm guessing that test track is where most of the 11 miles that were on the odometer of my car were clocked.

Were they all wearing masks because the video was taken during COVID or is that normal. I noticed that the car featured had Idrive 7.

I’d wager all of those 11 miles are movement around factory, rail, dock compounds etc.
I believe they test most components statically/ rolling road. Imagine how many cars they produce a day. They won’t have time to take, all on a track.

Interesting observation. mine came with 12 miles and i was kinda wondering where the 12 miles came from. itd be an interesting thread to see how many miles everyone had when they received it. unless there is one already.

There was a thread already about a year and a half ago. The general idea was that most cars came delivered with 8 - 14ish miles, most being around 11 if I recall correctly. Mine was delivered with 11 miles, accepted delivery in Nov 2022

Mine had 7 miles on it upon delivery. I think several others in my "batch" had the same.

Very cool video!

Ha! Mine had 10 miles. All this time I've been looking at the sales staff at my dealer with suspicion, thinking that someone took my car off on a joy ride before I took delivery.

10 miles is nothing for delivery mileage tbh
