HELP With Overheating Codes & possible "Oopsy" OIL Pressure Switch wire
I was in middle of replacing the Display Screen with a new one capable of Apple carplay and such on my 2011 335is convertible when I took everything apart and came to the conclusion that I ordered the CCC screen when my vehicle has the 4 pin LVDS cable requiring a different part. Left everything taken apart for when new part arrives.
Now my vehicle is showing "Overheating" codes and has multiple check engine lights on. While I'm sure a couple are due to the disconnected trims/connectors for the dash/screen replacement. I can't think of anything that has to do with the cooling system. Finally, I went under hood.... only to immediately notice the oil pressure switch has only a single yellow wire and a blank cavity where the second wire should be. Even following the wire harness back along the side if the engine there isn't a wire even there floating or otherwise. Every video or thread I've seen shows both wires existent in this connector. What am I missing and do I need to fix/How????? sorry for long winded but figured the whole story was needed. |
