Mystery Connector
I bought a 328XI (2007 model year) at auction, it came with a few parts casually tossed in the truck, as all good cars do. Included in the truck puzzle was the cabin air filter bracket (the black shelf spanning the engine bay). However, I don't know where this little connector goes. There's no obvious place, and it's on the driver side of the engine bay, so it's not the air temperature sensor, which is on the passenger side of the same bracket. Any thoughts?

It should have a dummy plug in it as a dust-cover. If it doesn't, yeah, that's fine. When PO was messing with the cowl they probably undid the tape holding. IIRC it is bundled up along the side of the fender and not on the cowl. But wherever it's convenient, just keep it out of the way.

I don't care about the alarm as much as I want audible feedback when I lock the doors. The pre-LCI E93 rest turn signal bulbs are barely visible at night let alone daytime.

Cars up until 2009 had pre wiring for options.
If the options are not installed the connectors will genrally be wrapped in Felt. There are some that are not like the shipping cable next to the battery. |
