Air Con Blower Issue
HI All,
BMW E91 2008/03 335i Msport RHD. Wondering if someone could help me as I can't seem to work out what's going on. The blower motor failed for the Air conditioning. I replaced the blower and resistor with a new one. Blower works and I can adjust fan speed when the car is turned on (NOT STARTED) but 5 seconds after starting the car the blower stops working. I have climate control eg can set temp for each side of car. I have an aftermarket head unit installed for over 2 years and the air con worked fine with this head unit installed. Its coming into summer here in New Zealand and would love to sort this somehow. No Idrive on car AUC sensor has not worked for years. MHD installed but not running any tune. Cats removed and Downpipes installed. If i have missed any information required to help solve this, please let me know. Current codes on car S 0375 NO Communication possible with: Head unit. 00511B EGS: coding 00A6CF JBE: AUC sensor Thanks in advance for any help ideas. Cheers and Merry Christmas to all BMW owners Last edited by Kiwi E91 335i; 12-21-2023 at 05:25 AM.. |

I have sorted it out and thought I would let people know how in case someone else finds the same problem. I bought an aftermarket blower and resistor using part the number off Aliexpress. I looked at the resistor provided and it looked different from the original BMW one
I cleaned up the old blower and resistor with contact cleaner and reinstalled it. All works as it should. Lesson learned. Not all aftermarket parts work. |

I typically avoid aftermarket parts for these cars.
I tried getting some aftermarket side markers off car parts and the silicone bead is already just falling apart. I purchased them May of this year. That and the passenger side leaks. The factory ones lasted a good 13 years in who knows what environment. The aftermarket side markers have spent a lot of time in the shade too! |
