Hi everyone, hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas and excited for the upcoming New Year

I noticed this ticking sound after I turned off my car after driving and it seems to happen everytime. I checked the bottom of the car immediately and even let it sit for mins but i didn't notice anything leaking.

Is anyone familiar with this type of sound by any chance?

The car is 2011 328i N51 model.

I've always thought that sound is so neat. It's the sound of heat expanded exhaust pipes retracting while cooling off. The whole exhaust assembly is kind of slowly shrinking but very minutely, so you get these little adjustment "tinks" as it all cools down.

Thank you! After going on another test ride, it does sound more lilke it's coming from the exhuast pipe!
