BMW 320i N43 issues.

Hello guys, can you help me with some answers on following topics:

1.My E90, N43B20 engine makes a ticking noise at idle, somewhere near the intake, as you can see below in the video.

2. When I changed the OFH gasket, I noticed a red-painted part under the intake. I'd like to know what that part is because I couldn't find anything similar on RealOEM, or maybe I didn't know where to look. I'm just curious about what it is.
