It's an amazing place. So clean, people are amazing.

Expensive AF though. Gas works out to about 9.50/gal, grocery store food for 2 days is about $175 for 4 people and eating out cheap is about $80/meal. Our Christmas Eve dinner was $380 with 3 drinks.

We did eat good with our home meals:

veal tacos with corn
veal burgers with homemade chips
veal steak with potatoes
schnitzel sandwiches

For breakfast we had croissants with ham inside, bacon, pancakes and little cinnamon rolls

Great pictures. This is one of our next family vacation destinations.

Did you get to see the Northern Lights?

No northern lights, it was cloudy the day that would have been the best to see them.

The last pic is in the caves of Hella. They are a series of caves found on a farm, they have located 12 but let you in 3.

They don't know when the caves were built but theorize it was from Celtic people prior to Viking arrival.

That particular cave served as a temple/church at some point and they still perform weddings there.

Iceland is a feast for the eyes. Too bad it's so cold. I don't do cold.

It's really not that cold, it stayed in the 20s, I've seen much colder in Maine and it's in the 20s every morning in GA lately.

Just about all our pics match except the season, except we were on the beach in Vik, not the other side.

Here's Kerid in the winter.
