2006 325i - hit highway debris and shield looks ripped

Hit some hard debris last night while doing 80 -> heard the loud clanking sound as I went over. This morning I see a shield panel has ripped brackets.

Need both a temp fix b/c I have a bunch of mileage to do this weekend and a proper, long term fix

of concern are some wires and connectors that are now exposed.

The debris caught the transmission belly cover, and the right side floor pan cover. The wires the Oxygen sensor wire harnesses.

Short term fix is lift the car and apply aluminum duct tape where needed. Long term is new parts and fasteners.

tape it up. If you'd actually damaged that sensor wiring, you'd get a CEL. As it is, you're ok.

(Just in case it's not obvious, if you're taping things, don't tape the wires to the exhaust. They'll just melt and break and then you WILL damage them. Frankly, if your driving is in Southern California, you're probably just fine leaving them where they are until you can effect a proper repair to the under-car shields.)

update:

took it to a shop post weekend trip and took a look at the underside. whatever it was - it was white ( I am thinking like a piece of cement ) ... left dent marks on one of the exhaust pipes, ripped through some brackets, made a scratch on the fuel tank.

Temp fix is with zip ties

I am hearing a little more vibration coming from the passenger side of the car (minor rattling sounds) .. could be just the underside or something else rattling.
