N47 frm issues

Hi all sorry if I'm in the wrong place... Just to give you an idea of my competency here I have been in and out as f smash repairs painting fabricating etc and I do a bit of coding and alike at home for fun so I'm no stranger to the whole concept of coding or how things work in a car ..
Now my issue goes like this... Dpf flush as particle filter warning sent me into limp mode*was not driving the car near enough* did it with the gun a dn vacuum line as penrite instructs... Whilst doing that my driver's door lock broke whilst it was out it stormed rather bad and my family took the awning down and put a plastic bag in the door which just greenhouses and my dumb arse didn't realize till it was too late... I fixed the lock cleared the dpf and re installed it all... That's when I had to charge the battery . I'm not sure if it's the ccc or if it's actually blown something.. all my fuses are intact but 3 modules refuse to communicate with inpa where as the dme cas etc I can get the part numbers and zb and what not.. just not those 3 modules .. before I go forking out more money.. I have replaced a blown bulb checked all the light wiring all seems fine besides not being powered .. still have sun roof brake tail lights and the outer set of globes on the front end... Still have radio air con all dash lighting screen works stereo works dtc button works and the orange bient lighting works at random... One thing that does bother me is the wiper fluid notification stays on after closing up the car and the hazard light button stays illuminated as well .. car drives well otherwise.. I'm thinging my exhaust back pressure sensor is dead as I can't get the dpf to Regen unless I force it . I have one cat bang registering in torque pro and the thermostats are reading right and it will Regen if I force it ... However I don't seem to be getting errors stored for the exhaust unless that's one of my modules that aren't responding . Sorry if this is confusing I've tried to keep my thoughts linear haha... Any input would really be appreciated I know I can fix it just not sure where else I should be looking as I'm sure half this issue was caused by the ccc... And frm...

Questions:
1) What are Last-7 Characters of your VIN?

2) As described in attached pdf: INPA Tutorial Quickstart, please post ScreenPrints of:
a) INPA > Functional Jobs > F2 Identification, which shows all Modules communicating with JBE Hub;

b) INPA > Functional Jobs > F4 Error Memory > F1 Read Error Memory, ALL Modules, which shows Fault Codes in Error Memory of ALL communicating Modules.

3) What Warning Lights are present?

4) What "issues" affect vehicle operation or performance?

Thanks to the both of you I shall post when I get home from work.. my mistake I should have included that... Also I've updated the sp-daten files last night through bmw coding tool for ncs inpa kfp tool32 etc to v71 that was the base folder the the "it was the only files I could still find hosted besides the CD that was provided with my cable... Since then I have noticed that ncs and kfp will list frm3 under e89 which I couldn't find before.. so ill scan it this arvo and see if theyre is any improvement and relay
The error codes to see if anyone can elaborate further! Thank you genuinely appreciate the help!

Right so I've run the error check again and it will not let me access the page.. however when I was connected to inpa and went into the cas.. when it was connecting my wiper blades started working again but thats it . Can get the job id status but not the full codes unless I'm making a mistake somewhere .... Shall provide what I can .... It just says no errors stored on the I Info page but lists with errors in the initial check . Also I can't access the other modules to get the codes either :S very confused and I think updating my files made things worse 😑... Besides being able to get my wipers moving that's been the only improvement haha .... Really starting to wish I had my ole Corolla right now 😂

I couldn't attach the video of what I was doing when the wipers went but I wasn't doing anything outside inpa just reading units.. so little lost what made that part of the module come back to life? :S

Incase anyone's still laying attention 👍😆
I hooked up the charger I had as I suspected my battery was dieing ..as it turns out it is a lier and had me convinced it was holding charge fine..
Anyway with the charger on I was able to get most of not all systems back up and identifying
I still can't connect to a lot of it... In the info shot I sent it lists it as dde 7.21 which I think is half my problem as most otherthings I can connect to get part numbers etc . Any idea on where I can get the files for my car? Or do I need to install a newer version of inpa .. I have 3 I think . 5.00 ,5.0.2 ,5.0.6 that's all I was given and able to find and the data files for v71? E90 base, ECU, 89.. I didn't compile them into one file but I did reference them all in bmw coding tool and ran the update and it works but I can only find the right files in ncs and kfp and they come up under a folder something like 89_252_24323 etc rather then the default folder for 89... Also if I want to register the new battery if I can find the same capacity I have no option to register it either with inpa as I've seen others do :\
Also that vin doesn't look right either..

Where did you get this car? Do you know the history of it? Looks like it has a lot of used modules from other vehicles installed looking at the VIN numbers.

2nd hand mate last minute thing a couple years back now . Did do a revs check at the time and everything seemed fine .. didn't get the log with the car I did get the folder for it but 😑 the vin on the car is different to what inpa is showing showing now which I mentioned prior and is new info to me .. I am aware the front headlight modules are from other cars as where ever they are from had tagged it on them. One black. One white.... Anyway this has no lie run flawlessly up until recently.. so I'm a bit confused how all the systems have been working prior :s

Also had it at my car European car specialists etc for servicing new wheels that work with the sensors etc and no ones ever mentioned anything out of the ordinary.. being I'm not in the industry with my back issues now for a long while and don't have my contacts that I used to!!

Basically dpf was cleaned then the door lock changed.. system was shorted that killed frm then the battery.. I have had the wipers come and out of function a few times so i have hope its just the frm ccc .... But tomorrow I'll have a new battery and I'll try again.. I have found files specifically for my car finally and I'm going to give them a go tonight hopefully that will fix the few issues I'll have connecting to the modules.. been trying my best to get this sorted but things went sideways.. luckily I haven't tried to program anything or do anything to make it worse 😅 was on the wrong foot from the get go I think 🤔

Yeah, seems like it just needs a good battery + correct software before you jump to any conclusions/lose hope. I'd keep it connected to the charger whenever you're scanning codes, coding, etc anyhow - they're pretty power hungry with ignition on and engine off, and the last thing you need is spurious faults caused by low voltage.

You don't need to worry about registering/coding the new battery immediately - it can run for a little while without fear of causing damage. Get your software sorted first, then get the battery dialed in.

In Post #5, you did NOT include the 2nd screen of Functional Jobs > F4 > F1 Read Error Memory ALL Modules. We can't see any faults for modules AFTER "62 MOST". One I thought we were concerned about is "72 FRM". That is NOT present in "F2 Identification", and 60 KOMBI has TWO (2) faults (A3B4 & A3C1) which EACH indicate that KOMBI (Instrument Cluster) is NOT receiving expected message from FRM Module.

You also stated that there are THREE (3) Modules which are NOT communicating. Please indicate WHAT Modules in addition to "72 FRM".

Your FRM (Lighting) Module is NOT communicating with the JBE Hub, and INPA CANNOT see the FRM, communicate with it, read any fault memory in FRM, or show Live Data from FRM (such as inputs & outputs). Generally, the cause of NO COMMUNICATION with a Module:
1) Power supply, including ground, to Module is lacking;
2) Bus Communication (here K-CAN bus) is lacking;
3) Faulty Module.

You have NOT indicated what "ISSUES" you have with lighting (FRM Module), or any OTHER vehicle performance issue. If ALL lights work as they should, interior & exterior, then the most LIKELY scenario is a bad K-CAN bus connection. In Post #1 you appear to have identified lighting that WORKS. If there are lights that do NOT work, interior or exterior, please identifiy EACH. Exterior lighting is generally "staggered" so that if one of 4 FRM fuses blows, some lighting on both front & rear remains.

FRM fuses on E9x models 2008 & later:
F41, F81, F84, F86
Please check each, visually & electrically, and report status.
If you need a proper fuse chart, please advise.

Thanks I do appreciate the help..
So for things not working it goes as folllowed...

Inner globe on each headlight and ring light do not function.
the interior lighting does not work.
the door lighting on the exterior does not function.,
Indicators do not work.
the windows do not operate.
the hazards do not function
The ambient lighting on the centre console occasionally works.

My wipers have since come back to life.

The outer headlight globe, tail lights/brakes function.
however the tail light and headlight are unable to be switched off. They do turn off with the ignition.
I have checked all the fuses for the frm and they are intact. Aswell as everything else I can with a fuse.

Since my initial post as far as I'm aware most of my modules are communicating bar the frm as of the moment..
...
From the get go I've suspected the frm due to the locality of the problems the warning on the dash promptly following the cut to power.. then trying to diagnose kept sending me back to that...
I'll get the page up today for you..
For whatever reason it just wouldn't happen last time
As to the files
I've added the files for the DDE.7.0 files I could find
.. Ive added DDE7xN47_All, DDE 7.x FOR ALL N47" line to the files for e90-e70.eng, e90.ger files and the other way it was written.
"DDE7N47, DDE 7.0 FOR N47" both send back to my inpa " BIP: best version error, "d_motor" however it is the only listing of a n47 in any of my installations of inpa etc..

I'm not intentionally trying to make this harder then it needs to be by the way I do appreciate the assistance !!!!!
I seem to be a bit late to the party for easily accessible files I've been having to scour the place for what may be the right files... I've managed to make some progress but still kind of making educated guesses when it comes to the files..
I have a feeling I've mixed up my installations..

On the side of getting the correct files definitively...I Found a site which didn't show up until today for some reason... Ncs-expert.com does ncs expert have it's own webpage or is this some random page?.. I ask as they want money for the files.. if it's they're actual site I'm fine with that but not so much if it's some random dude.. no ones meantioned it... Bummer n what not has come up prolifically but they arent providing the links anymore..either that or Russian torrents which I really don't want to touch..😅

I should note
Running oracle win xp sp2
Dcan drivers for ftd and serial controller n what not installed
They were included..
I ran d can communication setup ie .. Port.2
connection set to 500bit not 100
Did device management port settings,
Did the ini files for ediabas ec-apps. Etc
Set ports to stdbd and port 2

I have inpa 5.0.0/5.0.2/"5.0.6" installed
Kfp
Ncs expert/tool32
Ncs dummy
Bmw 2.12
Bmw coding tools
Bmw tools I used to update to v71 daten if that was even the right choice..
Followed all the instructions to the letter installed all in the correct order, made the correct port corrections, made the changes in the corresponding files for the new listing DDE7N47. Etc
Other then the screen I need to put up and the results from testing the fuse terminals.. that's about all I can tell your right now about what I'm doing 🤔👍

Just to fill people in... I did get my engine to access through inpa still cannot activate windows or anything however I had to install the windows 10 version that has the little window win new inpa, old inpa, dis, ncs, etc, and d windows xp just would not cooperate . it seems something's up with that USB as it pulled files from 2 years ago for a sim emulator.. still no clue how. as it was straight from disk to the USB and was formatted prior so I really don't know how they got they're .i think the USB was corrupted.. I was able to get into the register battery option and I'm now able to get access to a lot more stuff . My seats are all functional again . Didn't do that just happened. Still no frm access but I've narrowed that down to eeprom I'm fairly certain.. so looks like I'm sending that off as I don't have 6k for xprog 😅
Thanks everyone I appreciated the help

Wooohoooo Soo ladies and gents I have somewhat prevailed haha 😆🥳... my dpf milage is reset soot and mass all reset the new sensor and the b+ short are gone I can now request and run Regen if need be.. door locks repaired and I have fixed the rain sensor short which just leaves the frm issue which to me is a weight off!!!
I initially started doing the dpf flush and thing is just went sideways so I'm quite happy to have at least sorted what I set out to do initially!!! I'm going to get a second hand frm3, do the vin exchange and have mine reset later on and hold onto its as back up for some reason in future! This has taken me waaaaay to long 😂
Thanks everyone were it not for the input I don't know if I'd have found the stuff I was overlooking!!
