N54 335i 2007 - Rod Knock Noise But not Rod knock
I have a 2007 N54 335i - Stage 2+ (MHD)
WOT 100+ missfired and started knocking. Took to local Indy Shop. Rod bearings inspected and where ok: but had all of the following work done and still have the noise. New Oil pump. New Rod Bearings. (Rods Checked for play - No Play) New lifters. New Cams New Torque Converter with gear box service. Injectors refurbished Smoke test - clear. Compressions test - ok Leak Down test - Percect. Crank been checked - ok Oil used - 5w30 Noise is straight on start up, doesnt get louder or quite hot or cold. Doesn't dissappear on de acceleration. Matches engine revs, but half the speed. Non of the pulleys checked but had a mechanical stethoscope all over the engine and can't pinpoint it. Any help would be appreciated I'm at a loss and so is my mechanic. I've heard a faulty AC compressor can sound like this, but stethoscope doesn't sound louder near this. I'm trying to load a video up but it's not letting me |
