Vacuum food sealers.

I'm looking to purchase one. Many brands to choose from on Amazon with good and bad reviews.

What has been your experience if you have one?

We got the Food Saver from Costco. Love it! Bags can be a bit pricy and I'm still trying to figure out the most economical size to "make." It sure beats freezer bags!

I bought ours based on availability of bags large enough to hold the wings that I was making. Composite airfoils for the race car, not poultry.

My DW used it a few times after that, before it was relegated to collecting dust in a low kitchen cabinet never to be seen again.....

We've had a FoodSaver for 4 years and love it.

Funny thing is that my wife who grew up on a farm and canned & froze food regularly questioned the need for it. Now she is the one always bringing home stuff she bought in bulk for me to vacuum seal.

Depends on how much you plan to use it. We freeze venison and chickens (40+ each yr), fish, along with other misc items in lower quantity. I burned up 2 household/residential units (don't remember the brands).
Got this and never looked back (20+ yrs and still going strong with no problems).

You can seal bags one after another all day long without a glitch.

Just looked, FoodSaver as well. Simple, works well. I even used it to vacuum and wet mould a new holster for a pistol.

+1 on the Food Saver from Costco. Bought the big box of multiple different rolls of bag sizes, as well. I use it at least once a week and love it.

Amazon has some pretty decent generic bags and rolls.

We bought a Cuisenart, it works but I find the bags often lose the seal. I started sealing two or three times and still sometimes lose the seal. Sounds like the Costco food saver is a good choice.

I bought one where you push a button to pump the air out, worked great, but I guess I overpumped it and it developed a leak/crack in the plastic...don't do that

I ordered this one today. $40 off which paid for additional best quality bags. Should arrive Wednesday. I'll report on it.

Talii woke me up at four this morning and the security lights were on. The parcel service company was in the yard delivering my package.

Extra heavy duty bags arrived today. A little expensive but better than the cheap store brand paper thin ones.

It took me a few tries to get it just right, but the unit performs as advertised. I did a few sirloin steaks. Very pleased.
