Just purchased a 5 IN DP from DAW. Currently on 4.5. I was curious to see any key differences from noise and even power gains. Does anyone have any sound clips from 5 in vs 4.5?

No gains in power. Tone is slightly deeper though.

Not going to make it louder, just change tone over the 4.5 slightly.

Agree with David, on your setup, the power is the same.

I would not consider the sound louder, but its got a deeper mid-range tone.

Depends on what you are after. I second all opinions up to now - maybe a slightly deeper sound, but no performance improvement to be expected.

No.. most people including manufacturers suggest to not buy them since the transition could cause turbulence.. it might help on a large large turbo but I have yet to actually see proof that it does despite claims from random people. It still has to step down to the standard outlet size for the mid pipe so it doesn't matter much in the end.

If you were buying to replace the stock downpipe you can go with either really but, if you already have a 4.5'' I wouldn't suggest switching to the 5 inch. Like David said you won't notice a difference worth swapping.

i have the 4.5 CTS turbo dp, but bought a 5 in dp for $190 so it was kind of a deal i couldn’t pass up.
