CIC Region Change - Japan to Ece
Hi there, wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for help with a region change for Japanese E91 imported into New Zealand. I have latest Aus/NZ maps on USB and FSC code but with the CIC region being Japan it will not allow me to update. I have read in some of the F-Series forums there is a way to change region but not sure if this applies to E-Series Vehicles. Thanks in advance.

you have to replace headunit, because japanese headunit is heavily modified for japan frequencies and standards

and a lot of the stories that navigation didn't work at all because US EU CIC units made by Harman and Japan unit made by Alpine and they have bit different hardware So, i wish you good luck. I would not say that this is impossible, this possibe to those who hack CIC and NBT units and can do bootloader tricks and JTAG upload, but this simply does not comparable with option to buy only CIC unit from US for 100-150 USD and do not have this hassle.
