Boyd Coddington
Did anyone else notice Boyd Coddington has died? That is a huge tragedy for the car world, his hot rods were visionary, bold, distinctively Coddington. Very, very sad. http://jalopnik.com/361736/boyd-codd...th-still-vague

Yeah - I think we caught that right after it happened.
Paul Frere passed away as well and I was really saddened by that. He was a hero - great driver, great writer. |

He was a metal master at one time. Ground breaking, and innovative. I don't know if the Discovery Channel show watered that all down, but he was portrayed as nothing more than a aggravated pencil pusher, who have others do all the work for him as he is able to drum it up, by simply using his name and resting on his laurels from decades earlier. I lost respect for him in watching that show, how downright mean he lets his shop be run, and his seemingly lack of talent, other then his last name.
I don't know if that show portrayed him in a bad light though... |
