Vrsf turbo inlet
Bought a vrsf turbo inlet from ecstuning for my 2011 e90 n55.
Any special way to install it? It will not go all the way in. I’ll go through the first Oring but not the 2nd oring. Should i return it and get a replacement? |

They are very fragile!! Sorry about your luck! I lined mine up with housing and tab that mounts to block and was able to press it straight in, no angle! I know its tight down there but gotta be careful with the orings

I end up returning the inlet back to ecs. Ordered one through VRSF. Hopefully i get lucky on that. But i did notice something though. I feel like even if it goes in smoothly, i feel like it wont align with my injen intake.

Still might run in to the same issue, I would just double check the turbo itself is clean and be sure to lube the o rings, make sure its line up properly and go slow. As far as fitment with your intake goes I'm unsure about it, if it fit with the stock inlet it should fit with the vrsf one I would think.

I tried the vrsf inlet. It was a bear to get in, but once I did the screw hole didn't line up with the block. I pulled the inlet back off to open up the hole a bit, and saw the o-rings had failed. Since I had no way to confirm if new o-rings would survive installation, other than pulling it back off, and then risking damage again on reinstallation (short of looking at fuel trims), I decided not to run it and just went back to the stock inlet.

Did you ever get this installed?
Just received mine and tried to install and it wouldn't go all the way in, and the 10mm that attaches it to the block wasn't fitting flush so I emailed Hugo at VRSF and he let me know that if you're using the stock turbo, it won't sit flush, just get it past the 2nd o-ring. He also said they usually include washers to help the 10mm sit flush, but I didn't get any washers in my package. Still trying to get it to fit. |

Just asked for info about returning my inlet and the reply I got from Hugo was, "The inlet fits fine. I've installed about a dozen of these without issue. It takes a bit of finesse to get it on there. "
Not very helpful. . . |

There is going to be variation between parts, and some may fit well, but mine certainly didn't. I could have made it fit better with modification, but it still wouldn't have fit great, and you shouldn't have to modify a part purpose-built for a drop-in fit.

Were you able to get your money back or anything when you returned it? I returned mine and they acknowledged that they received it on May 2nd but haven't given me a refund and are ignoring my emails.

File a charge back, ECS dicked me around for 3 weeks when trying to return a bumper. Did a charge back with bank of america and had my money back next day. I made sure to re-package the bumper as poorly as possible when i sent it back too.
