looks like this is one folder. In the past the USB file was spread over 4 or 5 USB files. My question is: will this work, or will encounter the error message asking for "next USB"?
Thanks

This works perfectly fine as-is, no messages asking for additional USB sticks.

The 7z archive has a folder named "pkgdb" and a file named "config.nfm"
Just copy them to the root directory of a usb stick, insert in the glovebox USB port, and the CIC system will recognize it and prompt you to update it.

These two files consume just under 32GB, however they won't fit on an empty 32GB USB stick since there's less than 32GB of available space. I used a 128GB stick that already came preformatted as FAT32

Just did mine last night, took under an hour of runtime. I didn't leave the system on the whole time, made a few stops and shut the car off. As soon as you turn the car back on and the CIC boots, it picks up exactly where it left off.

Is the CIC NA 2024 map out yet or only the 2023 edition?

Thanks so much. After learning how to torrent, learning how to pull 1b.hex file, learning how to generate a FSC code, and discovering that Fat32 is the only format a USB is readable by my car, this worked perfectly.

Happy to be here and appreciate everyone who posts on this forum.

I have a 64gb flash drive that is formatted to FAT32 .. I have plugged it into the USB port in my glovebox but it doesnt pick up the update. Did you guys have to go into any special menus to get it to read?

Nope, as soon as you plug it in and wait a few seconds up to a minute... it pops up. Look at the files on the thumbdrive, make sure you ONLY have 2 files and it's NOT unzipped. That was my first mistake.

What?

I think you mean that the zip file MUST be unzipped to create both the single file and the sub folder with all of the data.

The CIC is unable to deal with zip files directly.

I have done multiple years worth of updates this way without a single failure.
