Park distance control (PCD)

Hi all, If you replace the standard professional stereo in an E90 3 series with an after market stereo, do you loose your rear parking sensors (PDC), or do they still work via the rear speakers? Is there a way to get them to work with an aftermarket Stereo?

Thanks.......

It depends in what kind of HU you have, if you have the business HU you will keep PDC beeps (seprated speaker for it), but if you have profissional or higher HU, you will loose the beeps.

Just had a aftermarket stereo and amp fitted, and have lost PDC

Is there a way to get it back yet still keeping the aftermarket stereo?

I dont think so, it depends on what you had and on what you want to install.
I've not used the connects2 interfaces but i use Alpine's witch are very similar.
I've opted to keep my oem headunit in the trunk to keep chimes, pdc and dealer diagnostics.

Some questions:
1) What kind of OEM stereo/system did you had before?
2) What aftermarket radio did you put in(brand/model)?
3) What amp did you use and how is it connected?

Have spoken to the shop where I had it all fitted, they have ordered all the interfaces needed and should have it in tomorrow, then i will go back in to have it fitted. But anyways:

1) business stereo
2) jvc kdavx44
3) jl audio and running the front stock speakers at the mo

I forgot to ask what model/year is your car, i guess is LCI Model, since LCI plays the pdc sound trough car speakers even with business HU.

I've been having some issues regarding Start&Stop/ED and Alpine canbus interface, with the radio some times rebooting after i press the clutch, this random behavior so i will try to investigate little deeper.
