335i xDrive Cat-Back Exhaust
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for options on a good sounding cat-back exhaust for the AWD e90 335i xDrive sedan. I want a 3.5 inch if possible but at the very least 3 inch since stock is 2.5ish. It's very difficult to find anything nice for the AWD and I wanted to see if anyone has had good luck. I have performance turbos and need to have a bigger exhaust and preferably a secondary cat delete. Any opinions and options would be greatly appreciated. So far I only see this cobb 3 inch one that sounds quiet: https://www.cobbtuning.com/products/...exhaust-system |

If there is no good cat back for the AWD sedan then I wonder if a secondary cat delete and a nice muffler would sound good. As the car sits now, I have catless DPs, secondary cats, the mid pipe resonator and a modded stock muffler that I welded straight pipes through. The company I bought the upgraded turbos from said my secondary cats are a problem for the turbos so they need to go. My hope was to just get a cat back with no fiddling but I'd chop more of the exhaust apart to get a great sound and keep the turbos healthy. well. there is no 3 inch or 3.5 inch dual i know of, they are pretty much 2.5, which gives 5 inches total area across all 6 cylinders and is more then enough to support 5-600 HP.
as for sound, i'm a fan of Turner, i have the vrsf 3.5" full race and it's a bit loud and drones quite a bit on the freeway. so i am a bit biased. both options are missing secondary cats. there is also supersprint, but not sure what the piping diameter is, they don't say on their site. |

currently stock downpipes on the VRSF full race.
i'm a fan of the turner titanium exhaust.. although Akropovic also sounds good, but hella pricey. only one selling i've come across stateside is VAC motorsports, and they want 5 grand for it. |
