2008 BMW 328i coupe died while driving

Car died a month ago about 5 minutes into my drive to work
Car lost power and was able to get to shoulder
Since i have changed out the fuel pump, the alternator aswell as battery, eccentric shafter sensor, crank and camshaft sensors
All fuses and relays look to be good
Have not checked the dme
Unsure what could be the reason but the car just will not turn over. Very close but wont go beyond crank

Any one have any idea?

Have you tried scanning for DTCs? It seems you’re just throwing parts at it randomly until something works.

Honestly, most of these DTCs are probably soft codes from low voltage. I’m assuming maybe the battery was drained from attempting to start several times. Regardless, I’d save these DTCs, clear them, and rescan after key-cycling the ignition for a few times. Also, keep it simple by starting with checking voltage at battery and (if possible) from the alternator under load. Anyway, clear these stored codes and rescan then post the results. The only thing I could see that could cause a no-start condition would be the JBE/JBBF faults. Sorry for the long response.

Sorry to keep rambling. But following up with keeping it simple- does the vehicle have enough fuel in the tank?

Regarding rescan, i was able to do that about 4 hours ago as well as check for any loose connections in the bay
I was able to clear the JBBF codes but i am left with A6CF for an auc sensor

And i did have 3g’s in the tank but i saw it today measured at 1.5 gallons on my scanner

As for checking voltage manually I’m not able to order a multi meter until wenesday though

No worries on long response, details are very much appreciated

Thank you!

For DTC I would recommend MHD since you can read BMW specific codes as well, I used Car Scanner before and just didn't see any codes sometimes. MHD is free for scanning and you just need a cheap K+DCAN cable.

Also, have you checked for the three basic engine things, idk what they are called:

Fuel
Spark
Compression

If those are all fine and your car is still only cranking then it might be something really annoying like timing, maybe?

For fuel you can just pull the injectors and see if they spray, for spark you can just hold the spark plug ends against the block and check them all for spark and for compression you can try to cover the spark plug hole with your finger, you should feel a lot of pressure.

All that while cranking of course.
